Former GM dealers win one

There’s been another win in a lengthy court battle pitting hundreds of former GM dealers against General Motors and a big law firm.

The dealers, who were closed down during GM’s financial troubles, won the latest battle this week when a court dismissed appeals by GM and the law firm.

A report in the Intelligencer says Belleville vehicle dealer, Bob Clute, is part of the class action lawsuit .

If the latest decision isn’t appealed by GM and the law firm, the dealers could receive substantial compensation.

GM could still appeal this latest decision.
