If you’re up for running a bar north of Belleville, it seems there’s one for sale on Kijiji.
Our newsroom has learned the Angry Beaver on Wallbridge Loyalist Road is listed for sale online.
The listing price is just under $200,000 for “a successful bar-and-restaurant at a very busy intersection” in its third year of operation.
The listing states that the owners are willing to train and consult with the buyers.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the establishment has been listed for sale in the past.
The bar has been linked to a recent double fatality on highway 401.
Wonder why they’re selling……
Reporters should get there stories straight before adding to the speculation. The Angry Beaver has been up for sale for ages.
I get really tired of reporters not getting their facts straight so that they can glorify a story and keep the local gossip going.

Actually Chris, the reporters have this right on. I follow Kijiji very closely and I remember thinking that it was odd for the Angry Beaver to be up for sale, especially if it was so profitable (the ad boasted 1 million/per year in sales). The Bar posted the ad on Kijiji a day or two after that poor Loyalist student was murdered.
Seriously? I am offended at the fact that people even care about the reputation of this local establishment. The audacity of people to comment on things that don’t really matter make me feel ill. First the handwriting of the person who issued the citation and now how long this place has been up for sale? Am I the only one who noticed 2 VERY young ladies lost their lives? Maybe if the bar had of been sold “ages” ago this wouldn’t have happened. Laws are in place for a reason, this is a sad but good example of what happens when they are not followed.
yeah who would ever buy this place…might be a few ride programs there now and would you not just wait and take over the rent if you really wanted it…don’t think there is much goodwill here…
That ad has been there for months… Quinte News should take down this post before someone charges them with the intent to slander.

Why is this on the news. I’m sure there are many places in the Quinte area for sale. Even ones that went up for sale this week. I didn’t know you were advertising real estate now. Things must be pretty boring in the quinte area if you are broadcasting real estate.
I agree, I highly doubt it has been for sale for ages. If it’s so profitable, why would anyone sell that kind of income, unless of course they are trying to dispose of assets in anticipation of a lawsuit.
