Ice on @ Dick Ellis…for awhile

Belleville’s new twin-pad arenas won’t be done in time for the start of the new hockey season….and, that means ice is going into the Dick Ellis arena. Director of Community Culture and Recreation Services Mark Fluhrer says one of the ice pads at the Quinte Sports Centre complex will have ice for September 18th, but, the finishing touches are being put on the fourth pad. The city wasn’t planning on making ice at the Dicke Ellis or Memorial arenas this year but will be required to use the west-end arena for the short term.
