A zamboni breakdown delayed the party for nearly an hour….but, that wouldn’t deny the Picton Pirates from moving on to the OHA Junior C semifinals. The Pirates sunk the Port Perry Mojacks 8-2 last night at home to take the series in five games. Pirates defence Brandon Peever scored two goals and an assist in the win.
Forward Mitch Rosborough also got a hatrick and two assists in the series clincher.
The Pirates await the winner of the Alliston-Walkerton series. The Hornets lead 3-games to one with game 5 on home ice tonight.
