Take this Job, and _____ __!!!!

The ripping down of a 130 year old former church in downtown Picton wasn’t without incident today.
Prince Edward County Chief Building Official, Garry Davis, says a 19 year old labourer was up in the bell tower of the church when demolition boss Jim Sinclair started taking down a wall.
Davis says Ministry of Labour rep Don Chambers immediately ran and got the worker down to safety. Davis says the young man’s life was in imminent danger if he had stayed in the tower. The worker, shaken, quit the job on the spot. It’s not yet known if charges will be laid against the demolition company.
Meanwhile, County staff had to take Jim Sinclair’s Doberman mix dog into custody. It was loose on the site.  Sinclair later paid the 75 dollar fine and got his dog back.
It’s not known if demolition will continue tomorrow. Most of the building is now down.
