The O-P-P are investigating an incident of road rage on Highway 401 in Trenton.
Two drivers involved in a minor crash involving a truck and a car in the construction zone of the westbound lanes on Monday night had a verbal confrontation witnessed by other motorists.
The car driver went back to his vehicle, locked the doors and called police. Police remind motorists construction between Napanee and Trenton is causing lane closings, slowdowns and frequent delays.

In general, people need to learn to merge and not rush to the end of their lane then cut in and break.
Well, it doesn’t help when the truckers decide to play games and drive side by side and hold up traffic!! This happened twice on my last trip on the 401. Both times, traffic was not able to get by them for 20 minutes!! You are at their mercy and there is nothing you csn do about it. Very frustrating indeed!!
Truckers generally do the side by side thing when cars are playing the ‘rush to the end of the closing lane and cut people off when you come over to the other lane’ game. Trucks can’t slow down like cars can. So for the trucks its safer to go at a safe speed, drive side by side and then merge safely. The traffic in front of the lead truck isn’t going any faster then the truck itself is.
if people all drive the same speed, giving a reasonable distance, merging to a construction zone has little to no impact on the flow of traffic. However, that isn’t how some people drive. We have all seen it before where one person tale gates or gets cut off and they brake, so the five cars behind them also brake.
