Quinte west firefighters were kept hopping this afternoon.
Fire chief John Whelan says they answered seven calls within one hour during the afternoon. Smoke in the bedroom of a four-plex in Trenton caused them to evacuate the building before dealing with that. There were two grass fires on Hamilton Road, one at St. Helaire near the railway tracks. The Quinte West firefighters answered some medical calls as well.
