Brighton dog owner charged

The owner of a dog that bit a young girl in Brighton has been charged by the O-P-P.
A Rottweiler cross breed bit six-year-old August Down on the face outside her home on Main Street on August twelfth after she tried to pet the animal. The owner was walking the dog, on a leash, at the time.
Sixty-three-year-old Robert Cameron of Brighton was charged with failing to prevent biting or an attack on a person or domestic animal under the Dog Owner’s Liability Act. He will appear in court on October fourth.. The dog was held in quarantine pending an investigation by the health unit, which hasn’t indicated what happened to the animal.
