“99% local” cooking school opens in Prince Edward County

Getting to know about where their food comes from will be the goal for culinary tourists this season in Prince Edward County.

The “From the Farm Cooking School” held its grand opening in a restored farm house on Burr Road on Friday.

Mayor Leo Finnegan told the 25 assembled celebrants, “It sounds like fun.”

The economic development officer says, ”It’s another great attraction for the gastronomic capital of Ontario.”

Owner Cynthia Peters says the activities will be customized to her guests… and will feature meals that are ”99% local”.
