If you’re ever stuck in jail, you might want to call the Chair of the BGH Foundation. Ross McDougall raised over a thousand dollars in yesterday’s Jail and Bail fundraiser event for the hospital’s oncology unit at Loyalist College. Big timers like Mayors Neil Ellis and John Williams were sent to the slammer by Community Policing Officers to face charges like, not buying enough flowers for their secretaries and, Police Chief Cory McMullen was locked up for being stingy on the Timmy’s supply. The event organized by three Loyalist Public Relations students, raised a total of 35-hundred dollars. This is the first time the event was held, and Student Adviser and Professor, Kerry Ramsay, says it’s success will bring it back next spring.
