Quinte West O-P-P detachment commander will be asked to speak to the Prince Edward County Police Service Board about security cameras.
The board decided on Wednesday to extend the invitation to Inspector Earl Johns, as it considers whether cameras should be installed in downtown Picton.
The security features have helped police investigate crimes in Trenton and Frankford.
The board will also ask representatives of the company that supplied cameras to Quinte West to attend the same board meeting, some time in the new year.
