An escaped convict has been returned to Frontenac Institution after having been missing for two days.

Provincial police say 38-year-old Kevin Douglas Rice was present for the formal head count Thursday morning, but was later reported missing by the institution’s staff.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement unit and the Ottawa Police Service apprehended Rice at a home in Ottawa without incident.

He was taken back into custody at 6:45 last night (SAT).
