Trenton truck driver sentenced for drinking and driving

A Trenton truck driver, caught driving drunk, has lost his licence for the next year.

Fifty-two-year-old Joseph Payette pleaded guilty in Cobourg provincial court to drinking and driving offences.

He was arrested on August 28th after police stopped him on Willmott Road in Cobourg, and his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.

Besides the one year driving prohibition, Payette was also fined 12-hundred dollars.
