Tyendinaga’s FNTI Agreement with Chilean Group

First Nations Technical Institute on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory is working to establish a similar school in Santiago, Chile. President Tim Thompson says the agreement was signed at the opening ceremonies of FNTI’s 20th Annual Prior Learning Conference at Ramada Inn Belleville this week.
The local post-secondary institution is working with Chile’s rural Mapuche community which has delegates at the conference along with members from Ecuador, Nunavut and South Africa. The conference wraps up today.
