A soldier posted to C-F-B Trenton has been commended for saving the life of a wounded American soldier in Afghanistan.
Information has just been released about the actions of Corporal Neil Maclean on the night of September 25th in Kandahar.
Maclean, serving with the multi-national unit, pulled the soldier from a burning tent after a rocket attack, and then organized rescuers to put out the fire and get the soldier and other injured personnel to a hospital.
He was awarded the Commander Kandahar Airfield Commendation in recognition of his “outstanding professionalism and leadership.”
