Quinte West O-P-P are asking for information about an incident at the Bayview Trailer Park.
Police say the trailer park on Old Highway 2 had seven incidents of slashed tires last night (SAT).
Police would like to hear from anyone with information.
Quinte West RIDEs
In Quinte West, officers were so busy with other calls to action that their RIDE programme completed just 48 vehicles in comparison.
With a smaller number of people stopped…Quinte West officers laid more charges than did Belleville… with one 12-hour suspension, two highway traffic act offences and one liquor licence act offense.
RIDE Makes for Drama in Belleville
Officers working with the local RIDE programme found themselves chasing after a dodger last night (SAT).
Belleville Police say at three a-m… a southbound van on North Front Street failed to stop for officers at the RIDE check.
The van allegedly accelerated through a red light and bounced over several curbs before stalling in a nearby parking lot.
When officers tried to get the driver out of the van, the suspect vehicle rolled backwards into the police vehicle..causing minimal damage.
A 21-year-old Prince Edward County woman is charged with impaired driving and failing to provide a breath sample.
She is due in court in January.
Belleville RIDE Results
Belleville Police say the local RIDE programme was busy for the second night in a row.
Officers stopped 775 vehicles at various checkpoints around the city.
Two people were issued 12-hour suspensions and had their vehicles towed.
One of the drivers held only a G-1 licence and did not have a fully licenced driver with them. Police say that resulted in additional charges.
Holiday Train Steaming Toward Quinte
It’s time again for the Holiday Train.
The seasonal locomotive of good cheer makes its way across the country…having started in Quebec on Wednesday.
The train will stop in Belleville and Trenton tomorrow (MON) on its way westward to the Rocky Mountains.
The set-up involves live musical acts, which perform in the train for outside onlookers. The event is often used as a chance to collect canned goods for local food banks.
Lights Out In Quinte
Power is out in the Oak Hills and Halloway Heights area this morning.
Crews are on the scene of the outage trying to get power back to the 500 or so affected customers South East of Stirling.
Hydro One says they’re not sure of the cause for the outage… but power should be back by 11:30 this morning.
Building Permit Numbers For PEC
The November building stats for Prince Edward County are in and it looks like construction numbers are continuing to grow.
The total construction activity for November was almost 2 million 548 dollars which included 61 permits.
To date this year, 839 permits make up over 69 million dollars in activity up from over 61.7 million at this time last year.
Daytime Bandits Get Some Loot
Belleville Police are searching for suspects after three break and enters yesterday.
Police say they all happened on Sydney Street during the day.
It seems as if nothing was taken from the first house, but a gamecube and some dvd’s are missing from the 2nd, and a 22 inch L-G flat screen computer monitor was stolen from the third.
Anyone with information should contact crimestoppers or Belleville Police.

Slow down, keep a safe distance, and drive carefully.
Those words from Ontario Provincial Police as they say the 4-0-1 is starting to ice over this morning.
Police say due to changing weather patterns, roads across ontario are getting more slippery today.
Give yourself extra time to get where you’re going so there’s no need to rush.
Napanee Drug Charges
A Napanee man faces drug charges after being stopped in a vehicle on the 401 at Deseronto Wednesday.
Napanee OPP found a small amount of methamphetamine, 285 dollars in cash, and digital scales.
36 year old Terry Merlin of Napanee faces possession for trafficking charges. He appears in Napanee court December 16th.
